About Steve Winters, Managing Director

Steve Winters is an entrepreneur and leader who has been building and leading exceptional technical teams for almost thirty years. Steve has held executive-level roles in product development, IP licensing, and operations in public and private companies. Most recently, he has worked in consulting and coaching roles for startups and Fortune 100 companies, often taking an interim managerial role while helping to identify and hire a permanent executive.

Steve’s previous roles included:

• VP of Engineering at Ariba, Inc., where he was instrumental in re-building the engineering team, implementing effective development practices, and improving quality by sixty-seven percent.
• President and COO at DigitalSquare, a privately-funded startup in Scotts Valley.
• Delivering a $40M services project for Cadence Design Systems and Scottish Enterprise.
• Serving in several functions at Apple Computer over ten years, including hardware product development, software development, and MacOS licensing. Achievements at Apple included leading a software product that produced over $500M in new revenue.

Steve also serves on the board of directors at Language Crossing, a non-profit dedicated to increasing cross-cultural and cross-language understanding and sponsor of Habari Post.
